Flávio Costa participated in the biennial meeting of the International Society for Study of Celiac Disease (ISSCD), the largest global meeting in the field of celiac disease and gluten-mediated human disease, gathering health professionals, researchers, scientists and food industry, to provided a multidisciplinary discussion of the disease. The symposium was held in Sheffield, UK, 5-7 September 2024, where Flávio Costa presented the e-poster “Celiac Disease Related Gut Commensal Bacteria And Its Potential In Degrading Gliadins,” showing our preliminary results that demonstrate the ability of distinct gliadin digestion from different gut bacteria obtained from celiac disease patients and their first-degree relatives.
